Her fiery temperament makes her elusive and extremely attractive, like Nahema, the princess in one of the stories in One Thousand and One Nights, but also like Catherine Deneuve in the film Benjamin, Diary of an Innocent Young Man (Michel Deville, 1968). Jean-Paul Guerlain was so moved by the actress's performance that he created his perfume inspired by her. This amber elixir, disturbing and enigmatic, floral and fruity, proved indomitable to the perfumer for a long time, like the women who inspired him. This velvety absolute rose, infused with a peach accord and enhanced with patchouli and sandalwood, required four years of work and more than five hundred tests. The intoxicating symbol of a love so burning that it can consume anyone who approaches it.
First of all, a breath of roses selected from the best families of this enormous species. In the heart notes , the fresh and green aroma of a hyacinth accord. Next, the fruits, the peach accord and passion fruits, symbols of temptation since Eve. The base notes of the composition are based on sandalwood and patchouli. Nahema, inspired by an amber rose of intoxicating charm, is a true enigmatic elixir.
A legendary bottle
Designed by Raymond Guerlain in 1912, its legendary "inverted heart" bottle is enhanced with elegant scrolls inspired by art nouveau. Its avant-garde cap in the shape of a hollowed heart evokes the delicate romanticism of this monument to perfumery, a true technical feat.
Guerlain is a French perfume house, among the oldest in the world. It has a large customer following, and has traditionally been held in high esteem in the perfume industry. Perfumes by Guerlain are often said to be characterized by a common olfactory accord known as the "Guerlinade". A perfume by the same name was launched by Guerlain in 1921.
